A monthly class for GSRs, alternates and anyone who wants to learn general service, the same afternoon as the district meeting.

What is studied: The A.A. Service Manual: a two-year study, one chapter a month, with time for questions and discussion. It began in January 2026.

From the district

About this district

District 9 covers the Coachella Valley and eastern Riverside County, from Whitewater and Palm Springs through Palm Desert, Indio and Coachella to Blythe on the Arizona border, in four subdistricts. The district website holds its guidelines (revised September 2023), minutes, position descriptions and recordings of its GSR School, which is studying the A.A. Service Manual over the panel. Spanish-speaking groups in the desert are served by District 22.

History

One of the ten districts the Area started with in 1959. District 30 was formed from it in 1988.
