District 2 serves the English-speaking A.A. groups of southeast Los Angeles County north of Carson Street: Paramount, Compton, Bellflower, Norwalk, Cerritos, Artesia, Hawaiian Gardens and the northern parts of Long Beach and Lakewood. The district has a liaison to the Harbor Area Service Committee, and its Spanish-speaking groups are served by District 21.

One of the ten districts the Area started with in 1959 (former District 13 later merged into it).
