Area 9 Forum
|
The Area 9 Forum is a place where you can say what’s on your mind about AA topics, and respond to what others are writing on that topic. Area 9 meetings and workshops have long been forums for sharing opinions on AA General Service, and we hope you will participate in this medium in a responsible way. Let’s make sure we treat each other with respect even when we disagree. And keep coming back!

“Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions.”
Tradition Twelve
With this tradition in mind, this forum is designed to help you remain anonymous by posting your message with only a numeric message id and the date that your message was posted. All email addresses and last names will be omitted.
Please submit only messages that are in keeping with AA principles.
Please keep your postings to under 500 words. New topics will be selected periodically, and your messages will be reviewed and posted as soon as the Bulletin Board Monitor is able to review and post them (hopefully within 48 hours).
Additionally, the following points of decorum will be observed:
- No names will be posted.
- No entries which attack or criticize another person will be posted.
- No entries mentioning outside issues in a controversial or provocative manner will be posted.
- No entries containing profanity will be posted.
- Entries found objectionable by 2/3 of the EMSC will not be posted.
The time frame for which a topic is open for posting will be determined by vote of the Area 9 Electronic Media Sub Committee (EMSC). All discussion topics and the postings will be archived and available for viewing on the
EMSC webpage for a period not less than one year.
